Hvordan opleves København egentlig af dem, der bor og færdes her hver dag? Med Urban Belonging-appen kan du være med til at give svaret.
Appen fungerer som et digitalt borgerpanel, hvor du kan dele dine oplevelser af byen gennem billeder og korte beskrivelser – lige når det passer dig. Dine bidrag er med til at skabe viden om byliv, lokalsamfund og turisme i København og indgår i forskning og analyser som en del af EU-projektet CULTIGEN.
Formålet er at styrke beslutningsgrundlaget for fremtidig by- og turismeudvikling, så den tager udgangspunkt i borgernes egne oplevelser og perspektiver – og at sikre en mere balanceret turismeudvikling i byen.
Ved at bruge appen kan du:

- Bidrage til forskning om byliv, lokalsamfund og turisme

Urban Belonging App: Share your perspectives on the city – and help shape the future of tourism in Copenhagen
How is Copenhagen really experienced by those who live in and move around the city every day? With the Urban Belonging app, you can help provide the answer.
The app functions as a digital citizen panel, where you can share your experiences of the city through photos and short descriptions – whenever it suits you. Your contributions help generate knowledge about urban life, local communities and tourism in Copenhagen, and are included in research and analysis as part of the EU project CULTIGEN.
The purpose is to strengthen the basis for decision-making in future urban and tourism development, ensuring it builds on citizens’ own experiences and perspectives – and supports a more balanced development of tourism in the city.
By using the app, you can:
- Share experiences and perspectives from places that matter to you
- Contribute to research on urban life, local communities and tourism
- Participate flexibly – without meetings or fixed schedules

- Confirm your email
- Revisit the download link and click “Join CULTIGEN project”

As a thank you for your contribution, active users of the Urban Belonging app will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 5 Copenhagen Card Discoveries, giving access to 80+ attractions and unlimited public transport for 72 hours.
Competition rules
What you can win:
- 5 winners will be selected
- Each winner will receive a Copenhagen Card Discovery (72 hours)
- Value per prize: DKK 1,039
- The card must be used no later than 31 December 2028
Who can participate:
- All residents of Copenhagen can participate
- Employees of Aalborg University are not eligible
How to participate:
- Download and use the Urban Belonging app
- Register at least 5 observations in the app
- Provide your email address in the app
Selection of winners:
- One winner will be selected each month from July to November 2026
- Winners will be contacted directly by email

Your contributions are treated confidentially and are used solely for research and analysis in connection with the CULTIGEN project, as well as for contacting competition winners.
The Urban Belonging app is operated by Aalborg University, which is responsible for processing your data.
